Happy Wheels Cart

Strolling the hospitals to care for families

Designed to support families who have children healing in the hospital, the Happy Wheels Carts stroll the hospital hallways and provide comfort as parents focus on their children.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley is committed to serving as many families of critically ill children as possible; however, not every family served at our local hospitals have a need to stay at the Ronald McDonald House.

Serving both out of town and local families, the Happy Wheels Cart supports individuals who spend hours on end at the hospital with their critically ill child. It provides a bit of comfort as our volunteers push it through the hospital hallways offering
coffee, juice boxes, granola bars, crackers, coloring books, toys, toiletries and other items, all free of charge (donations accepted). Besides the immediate needs these small tokens can meet, they provide simple reminders to the families that they have a network of supporters during such a challenging time.

We rely on the generosity of the community to stock the Happy Wheels Cart with items to distribute to families.
Check out our Happy Wheels Wish List for details.
