What We Do
Helping give children what they need most - their families
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children and their families. We accomplish this through three core programs:
Ronald McDonald House
Located in Evansville and Newburgh, Indiana, our Ronald McDonald Houses keep families of critically ill children together while their child is being cared for at any local medical facility. Helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. Our Ronald McDonald Houses provide care, comfort and critical support so families can focus on what is most important – their children.
Hospitality a la Carte
We are committed to serving as many families of critically ill children as possible; however, not every family served at our local hospitals have a need to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. Our Happy Wheels Cart provides a bit of comfort as our volunteers push it through the hospital hallways offering a smile, snacks, refreshments, toys and toiletries.
Grants
Thanks to a restricted gift from local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, we are able to expand our reach beyond our Ronald McDonald House. Our Grants program allows us to work with other local non-profit organizations, through their core programs and projects, to make an immediate, positive impact on children and their families.
RMHC of the Ohio Valley addresses these needs every day with the help of many volunteers, partnerships with respected companies, relationships with McDonald’s Owner/Operators and a community of generous donors. We couldn’t do it without all of you.
