McDonald's
McDonald's has been integral to the mission of RMHC since the first Ronald McDonald House was opened in Philadelphia in 1974. Local Owner/Operators and crew members serve on the board, volunteer at the Houses, and help organize and volunteer at RMHC fundraising events. These are just a few of the many ways they support the mission. In addition, each year, a designated amount of the proceeds from each Happy meal sold in the area comes back to RMHC of the Ohio Valley. McDonald's also offers ways that the general public can support our mission through in-store fundraisers, donation boxes and Round-Up for RMHC!

Donation Boxes: Your spare change adds up to a lot of help
A dime here. a quarter there. It might not seem like much. But when millions give, the amount those coins help children and families worldwide is truly amazing.
The RMHC donation boxes located in McDonald’s restaurants are our system’s largest ongoing fundraisers. It’s from people like you filling the donation boxes with quarters, dimes and nickels. Each year, millions are collected world wide and more than $100,000 is collected in the tri-state region alone!
Next time you order a cup of McDonald’s coffee or grab an afternoon snack, be sure to donate your spare change in the donation boxes. Every donation, no matter the amount will make a meaningful difference to the many families we serve.
Don't Have Cash? No Worries! You can Round-Up for RMHC!
Learn more today about the Round-Up for RMHC Challenge, going on from October 12 - November 20, 2020.
If you never carry cash, you can still support the charity by asking to Round-Up for RMHC. This allows McDonald's to round your total up to the nearest dollar and that money also comes back to the chapter! You can do this on your own when you order at the kiosks or ask your McDonald's crew member if you're at the counter or drive through.
Cash or card, by visiting any of the 40 McDonald’s in the tri-state and dropping your change in the canister or using the Round-Up for RMHC feature, you can help to make a difference in the lives of critically ill children!
